This week was everything. Here's some pictures explaining why: With surprise guests, Kid Ink, YG, Jeremih, and my favorite of all time ever, my boy C Breezy <3 For those wondering, my lip color is a matte cream lip stain from Sephora in the shade Dark Berry. Yooo. I know, it's been a while since I've posted on here. I haven't really had any good ideas lately or any really good inspiration to go off of lately. But, after a visit to the Griffith Observatory I finally found something to go off of.
I think one of the most though provoking things is life is when you come to the realization about how small you actually are in the world. That is one of the reason I have such a fascination with stars. There are billions and billions of stars in the universe but they all shine bright enough that all of us here on earth can see them on a clear night. Looking at all the city lights below me, reminded me of all the stars. Here I was, looking at all of Los Angeles and Hollywood and all other parts of the city, and I am just one of millions of people that live in this huge place. All of the shining lights that we could see from the hills were different houses, and stores, and restaurants, and bars just filled with all different people who all live completely separate and different lives. When I was looking at the city all I could think about was how lucky I was that I get to be one of those millions of people that live in the city and get to live a life here. I am just one of millions of lights that are trying to shine brighter than the rest. But thinking of it like that puts all my goals in perspective. It makes me realize that in order to shine brighter, I will have to work harder and I will have to do homework instead of party every weekend and I will have to push myself to the limit in order to be brighter. I don't know, this isn't really a fashion post, but it's something that I think is really cool. So there's my deep thoughts after going to the Griffith Observatory. I <3 LA. Aahh, the little black bootie. I had been on the search for a pair like these for... I don't even know how long. They are so versatile and comfortable and they obviously go with everything I own. I think I have worn them every single day since I've gotten them. They were only $40 from H&M and were easily one of the best purchases I've made in the last couple months. So, since I've been wearing the crap out of them, I figured they deserved their own blog post. I mean, why not? When you find a cute pair of shoes that you're in love with, you might as well give them their glory. peace. Where did it go?" Well I had one of those today. As I'm sitting here on the floor in my living room listening to every single Somo cover posted on Youtube (I'm obsessed), all I can think about is how lucky I am to live in such an awesome place such as SoCal. There's so much to do and explore, and it seems like there will never be a lack of ideas and places to add to my list of things to do and explore while I'm here going to FIDM. Anyway, this post is just a recap of my weekend, and all the fun I had. Big thank you, as always, for checking out my blog and taking the time to read it. peace. fridayFirst off, never go to Target when you're hungry. Me and Danyl unfortunately made that mistake, and came out with more groceries than necessary. As we were resisting the urge to grab every single thing that sounded good on the shelves, we decided to have a movie night. And not just a normal movie night: a movie night consisting of cheese and crackers, dark chocolate, movie theater popcorn, strawberries, and to top it all off, sparkling juice (the whole not being 21 thing was really messin' with our grand idea). We watched Friends With Benefits with Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake, and it was so fun. So nice to be able to have a nice night at home with just me and the roomie. SaturdayMe and Danyl decided to go Santa Monica for a little bit on Saturday night, just because it's an easy bus ride and it's a fun place to go just to hang out and get out of the house and out of the city for a little bit. Instead of going to 3rd street and spending all of our time shopping (even though we all know that's what we really wanted to do) we walked down to the pier, and then down to the beach to sit by the water and watch the beginnings of the sunset. Being at the beach is one of my favorite things in the entire world. It's so hard for me to live in the city and be so far from the beach, so when I was there, Danyl had to drag me off of it. Outfit Details: Sweater: Target Shorts: Levi's ($5 from Goodwill!!!) Shoes: Vans Necklace: H&M Sunglasses: Urban Outfitters sundayAaahh okay, I'm so excited to talk about this! On Sunday, me and Danyl went to Venice Beach because a friend of mine was here from Seattle! Rosie Itti owns Closet Space, which is a mobile fashion truck, so basically a boutique on wheels, and she is also a FIDM alumni! She drove it down all the way from Seattle to come to SoCal for a fashion festival that was happening on Venice with other fashion trucks from around the area! It was so good to see her, and to catch up, and to of course buy new goodies from the truck ;) If you're in the Seattle area, make sure to visit the store in Port Townsend or follow her and the truck to see when they are going to be at different events around the city! I will put all of her info along with photos in this post :) Outfit Details: Jacket: Target Flannel: Forever 21 Shorts: Urban Outfitters Shoes: Vans Sunglasses: Urban Outfitters mondayToday, I met Rosie for lunch in Little Tokyo in DTLA before she started driving the truck to more places in Cali. We went to a place called Oomasa and had some dang yummy bento boxes filled with teriyaki, tempura, salad, rice, and soup. After we decided to get some dessert at Pinkberry, because who doesn't love Pinkberry? And come to find out, it was Rosie's first time having it in 6 years! Then we took the truck back over to FIDM, to go to the college store so Rosie could get some cool alumni gear. It was so good to see a friend from home, and to be able to talk to her about FIDM and everything going on here, because she's already done it! Great end to a great weekend. Stay tuned.. peace.

Let's go. ThursdayI only have one class on Thursdays at 8:30 AM so, I'm usually not feeling particularly creative in the whole outfit department on these days. It's the last day of my school week, I'm tired, I'm only at school for 3 hours, and all I'm really thinking about is going back to bed. So, for my first thursday I kept it pretty casual and comfortable. Outfit Details: Jacket: Target Leggings: Zella at Nordstrom Boots: Nordstrom Hat: H&M Rings: H&M and Old Navy FridayOn Friday, I was going to turn in my resume to MAC Cosmetics, so my makeup had to be on point, and all black wasn't even a question, considering that's the uniform of the people who work there, so I figured I would just try to fit in already ;) I still wanted to have a little of my own personal style thrown in, so of course a flannel around the waist was required. Outfit Details: Shirt: Nordstrom Flannel: Forever 21 Jeans: Old Navy Booties: Forever 21 Necklaces: H&M and Brandy Melville SaturdaySaturday morning I had a group interview at Michael Kors in Century City, and then me and my roomie Danyl, decided to go to Hollywood for the night to go hang out, walk around, and of course do a little shopping :) The dress is a little long on me (who knew that was possible) so I tied the edge of it in a big knot to keep myself from tripping on it. Still cute doe. Haha! Being comfortable was the main goal on this day, just because I was going to be out and about all day long, walking and driving, so I wanted to make sure I was comfy, but still cute ;) Outfit Details: Dress: Old Navy Booties: Forever 21 Bag: Nordstrom Necklaces: H&M Sunglasses: Target Lipstick: MAC Red :) Sunday and mondayConfession. Didn't even leave the house these days. Whoops. I stayed home and did homework, and recorded that fabulous video that is right under this blog post ;) So make sure to go check that out if you haven't already :) TuesdayBack to school! I woke up, looked outside, saw that there was maybe two clouds in the sky, and decided that it was the perfect day to wear a beanie. I love beanies. Being from Seattle, it was really convenient to be able to wear them all the time, but since summer just ended, and summer is still pretty much here in LA I haven't gotten the chance to wear one. So needless to say, I was waaaay to excited to wear one on this day. Outfit Details: Tank: Forever 21 Flannel: Urban Outfitters Jeans: Pacsun Shoes: Doc Martens Beanie: Target Bag: Nordstrom wednesdaySooooo, Wednesday. I definitely woke up an hour late after snoozing all 5 of my alarms, and Lord knows I wanted to stay in bed and go back to sleep soooo bad. But, I was a good girl, and got my butt up and got ready for school. I basically put on an outfit that looked cute but that literally took none of my brain power to put together. Haha! Outfit Details: Pocket Tee: Shop Closet Space Jeans: Old Navy Shoes: Converse thursdayThis outfit was just... I don't even know. I kind of just picked different pieces that I knew I wanted to wear, and hoped they would all turn out and look good together. Haha! It was good though, I was comfortable and just kinda chillin. Outfit Details: Shirt: Nordstrom Flannel: Brandy Melville Jeans: Nordstrom Shoes: Vans Hat: Wet Seal Alright, that is it for this blog post! A HUGE shoutout to my awesome roommates, for taking pictures of me so I can make my blog posts, I honestly couldn't post anything without their help. Thank you so much for checking out my blog, and for reading this post, and others, and for the support. It means the world. Catch ya on the flip side. peace. Okaaay. So, I have a blog post planned for the middle of next week, but I felt like I needed to post something before then, so my blog wasn't forgotten about. Haha! I really wanted to do a fall makeup tutorial just to show what my fall makeup routine was like everyday. I asked my roommates for ideas and they said I should take a picture of all the products I use and then take a picture of every step of my routine and then post those. When I really thought about it, that seemed like a lot of work. So then I thought, well, why don't I just make a video and then take screenshots of that? Okay, well at this point, that all just seemed really dumb, so I decided to just make a real, legit, tutorial video. I have wanted to make youtube videos for a really long time, I just never got around to doing it, so what better time to do it then now? So, here it is. My long awaited makeup youtube video. I know it's not as good as others, and I know I'm obviously not the most amazing makeup artist out there, but I'm really proud of it and I'm proud of myself for stepping out and filming this and posting it. I am not going to be making regular youtube videos, but they might just pop up once in a while :) I'm hoping the upload will work and you'll be able to watch it with no problem on here, but if it doesn't, I've included the link to the video on my youtube channel. I hope you guys enjoy, and make sure to like and subscribe if you have a youtube account, and continue to share and show the same amazing support you have been. peace. Short, sweet, and to the point. I had a lot of really cute, detailed pictures of my outfit for you, but through a series of unfortunate events, I lost all of them. But, I still really wanted to post my first day of school outfit, so it's just going to be the one picture I have, and I'll give details. Thanks for bearing with me! peace.

Of course, on the top of that list was going shopping. We decided to go to 3rd street in Santa Monica, because that's one of our favorite places to shop. There are so many good stores there, I just can't handle it. I definitely just kind of went for it, and shopped 'til I dropped. So, I decided to do a haul and show you guys what I bought! Peace. kitson Alright. This sweatshirt. I saw it on the Kardashians, and I HAD to have it. Especially because Khloe was wearing it, and I basically just want to be her, but that's besides the point. It's more like a long sleeve shirt, than a sweatshirt, and it's definitely way cuter to throw on than a sweatshirt when I gotta make a Target run. It has really cool mesh detailing on the shoulders and the bottom of the sleeves, which I love, because it's so unexpected from just a long sleeve lounge shirt. sephoraI think it is literally impossible for me to go into Sephora and walk out without buying anything. It's like a glorious heaven filled with makeup and hair goodies and just everything I love in one store. I did happen to have a list, that I did stick to, when I went so I gave myself a pat on the back for that one. Alright, first thing is this Tarte BB cream. I'm currently using the Maybelline BB cream as my everyday face makeup, but I just found that it wasn't giving me the coverage and correction that I wanted it to. I had heard really great things about this BB cream, so I decided to give it a try. I think I've just decided that when it comes to face makeup, it's worth the extra money to buy high end products. So once I start using it, I'll let you know what I think and how I like it. OKAY. I don't even know where to begin. This is my favorite lip treatment OF ALL TIME. This is the 3rd tube I've bought, and you all know as well as me, that using a whole tube of chapstick, lipstick, or whatever, is a hard thing to do. It smells soooo yummy and there's lot's of different shades to pick from. They are all tinted and apply so smooth. They are on the pricier side for a lip treatment (chapstick) but SO SO SOOOO worth the money. I wear liquid or gel eyeliner every single day. I am definitely one of those people that will end up being late because I was trying to perfect my eyeliner wings. I loveeeee this liquid liner, because the brush tip is really thin, so it's easy to get a nice precise line, and the liner is SUPER pigmented, so the black is REALLY black. So, this is the new lipstick that NARS just dropped for Fall. I haven't had a chance to try it yet, so I don't really have much to say about it except for that I'm really excited to finally try it. I got a really gorgeous berry red shade, that's perfect for fall. And it's called Audrey, which just so happens to be my mom's name, so I can wear it whenever I miss her :) b.p. at nordstromA basic black cross body bag. I live by these. I have two other's that I've pretty much worn out, so I decided it was time for a new one. It goes with everything I own (obviously), and it's just so much easier than carrying around a big purse or bag. And an LBD. Nuff' said. old navyOld Navy has stepped up their game. Props. Their accessories have definitely gotten so cute and trendy, it's almost impossible to resist the prices and the variety. OKAY AND... THIS LEATHER JACKET. I cannot tell you guys how long I've been looking for a perfect leather jacket that wasn't a million dollars, but still didn't look cheap, and that looked good and fit well. And in a perfect world, the criteria included moto style. I have been looking for almost a year for a new leather jacket, because in my closet, it's a staple. I wore out the inside of my last one, because I wore it so much! Sooooo, I walked into Old Navy, saw it on the mannequin, tried it on, and LAWD HAVE MERCY. It's perfect. AND only $40!!! WIN. brandy melville... yes, I've joined the bucket hat gang. Let's just move on, and not talk about it. K? K. Brandy Melville shirts are the softest, most comfy, most amazing shirts on planet earth. Although everything there is one size, I'm convinced they are just universally flattering and comfy for every body type out there. They just came out with these new ones, that have different sayings or patches on the pockets. I think I'm going to have to go back and get the one that has a pineapple on it :) I love the accessories at Brandy. I can never leave the store without buying one piece of jewelry. So, I just picked up these two little ones, that I think will be perfect for layering and pairing with other necklaces I already own. Last, but defintely not least, a new flannel. Need I say more? I love flannel. I know, it's so "hipster" of me but whateverrrrr. It's so comfortable for just hanging out at home, tying around my waist, layering under jackets and over shirts, and even dresses. Alright, that's it for this haul! Thank you guys so much for reading and being on this adventure with me. Peace. Although my birthday was September 30th, I decided to post what I wore, because to be honest, I was a little in love with my outfit. I kept it cool and casual, as I was still in Seattle so weather was cloudy, as per usual, and it was night, which only meant it was going to get colder. I really wanted to focus on the accessories for this look. Although they are understated, I still wanted to give them their credit, because they do add that little somethin' somethin' to the outfit. And can we also discuss my shirt for a second? It says, "holy chic" on it, and if that wasn't enough, it was only $10! LOVE.
